Welcome to Early Middle School!

Veronica Ballenger is proud to serve as the Principal of Early Middle School. Now in her 12th year in education, she is passionate about creating a school where students feel supported, challenged, and proud to be Longhorns.

Ms. Ballenger grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University and later earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas. Throughout her career in education, she has remained committed to building strong relationships with students, staff, and families and creating a school culture where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Ms. Ballenger believes the middle school years are an important time for students to discover their strengths, build confidence, and learn the value of hard work, responsibility, and community. She believes in maintaining high expectations while making sure students know they are valued, supported, and surrounded by adults who want to see them succeed.

As a mom of two sons, Ms. Ballenger understands the importance of trusting the people who educate and care for your children each day. She considers it a privilege to partner with the families of Early Middle School and to be a part of their children’s educational journey.

She is proud to lead a campus that embraces Early ISD’s P.I.E.C.E. Core Values of Purpose, Integrity, Empower, Community, and Excellence and is honored to serve the students, staff, families, and community of Early Middle School.
